Breast Lift/Reduction
Breast reduction surgery, also known as reduction mammoplasty, is a procedure that helps reduce the size of a woman’s breasts.
After administering anesthesia, the surgeon will make an incision starting at your areola (the pigmented area around the nipple) and continuing down to the underside of your breast.
Our sergeon will remove fatty tissue and skin to reduce the size of each breast. The surgeon is often able to leave the nipple in place, but, in some cases, they may need to reposition it.
Results after surgery are positive for many women. They achieve both the health and cosmetic benefits of smaller breasts.
Duration: The average breast reduction surgery can take two to four hours to complete. Our surgeon may be able to give you an estimate of how long your particular procedure will take.
It can take 2 to 6 weeks to fully recover from breast reduction surgery. You may need to take 2
to 3 weeks off work, and need help with housework, childcare and shopping. You should not
drive until it’s no longer painful to wear a seatbelt. This may be several weeks.
